Discovered by Juan, Clara explains her reasons and appeals to his hatred for Saavedra and Sosa, hoping for his understanding. Although Juan insists on arresting her, his love is stronger and he lets her escape. Safe, Clara orders Mailén and Nehuén to pursue Sosa, who appears before the town tied to a horse, dying in agony. The horror leads Fausto and Marichu to plan an escape. Juan hesitates to reveal the truth about Clara. After taking revenge on Sosa, Clara finds Rosa and confesses her identity. Rosa, shocked and remorseful, asks for forgiveness. Clara, influenced by Walter, shows compassion. However, Rosa tries to warn Fausto, but Clara deceives her: instead of calling him, she speaks to her. Upon confirming this, Clara kills her in cold blood.
