Amateur bakers compete to win the Flour Power trophy.All over Scotland, workmates are baking up a storm creating cakes and makes for charity bake sales with the aim to make lots of money for good causes, and to compare their colleagues’ efforts to their own. So, over ten episodes we turn gentle ribbing and rivalry into full-scale workplace warfare. We visit ten very different workplaces to watch four colleagues compete against each other to be the company’s official baking champ.From distillers to vets, language schools to lawyers, not only are these amateur bakers determined to make amazing cakes and bakes, they really want to be able to brag to their workmates.We follow each competitor at home as they create their cakes, buns, bread or savoury pies and pasties. Then they will be revealed at a bake sale to the critical eye of their colleagues and, more importantly, to our judges.Each week our series judge, Nichola Reith, will be joined by a local judge to taste, debate, berate and celebrate each of our competitors’ efforts. At the end of the bake sale, we will reveal who the judges have declared the workplace winner and worthy of the Flour Power trophy.In this episode we’re at the Cyrenians in Edinburgh. The Cyrenians is a charity who look after people at risk of homelessness, offering support to help them turn their lives around. Senior relationship manager Ali, experienced charity cook Noura and assistant key worker Davie are all desperate to beat the big boss, Ewan. In a workplace with a huge baking culture there is no chance of these four competitive colleagues slacking off as they each aim to win the Flour Power trophy!Boss Ewan is baking a wholemeal loaf with sundried tomatoes and mixed seeds and will be hoping it packs a flavoursome punch. Noura, from Syria, is using a traditional recipe to make baklava, while Ali gets to grips with her chocolate sponge cake. Davie is also going full-on chocolate with some 'gooey' brownies, but
