Having been found by two soldiers that deserted the 7th division, Tanagaki goes on the run. Just as he managed to get the drop on them, the rest of the 7th division shows up. Asirpa, Sugimoto, and Shiraishi encounter Kiroranke Nispa, Asirpa's uncle. He knows about the stolen gold and reveals some truth about it.
