Nino has difficulty approaching Marinette since his crush on her gets in the way, so Adrien decides to help out his best friend by making plans for Marinette and Nino to meet at the zoo, with the idea that Nino will confess there. At the same time, Marinette thinks the trip to the zoo would be a perfect opportunity to become closer to Adrien. Meanwhile the zookeeper, Otis, is approached by Kim and Max. Kim mocks the new panther in the zoo, doubting it's speed and claiming that he can outrun it. Enraged by Kim's mockery, Otis becomes influenced by Hawk Moth and turns into '', a shape-shifting supervillan that can turn into any animal.
