With the Montecito deed in their possession and Clara out of danger of being discovered by Juan, the group prepares to finalize the transfer of the Pedraza properties, taking advantage of the senility of the notary Forster Taylor. Fausto, Sosa and Marichu discover that everything points to a past event: the murder of Amancay, mother of Nehuén and Mailén. Believing that revenge is coming from there, they attack the community. Fausto seeks to recover the documents that he believes are in the hands of the Pedrazas and also suspects Sister Carmen, who in the past warned Rosa about Laura's death. Although they think she is dead, Carmen is still alive. Juan discovers that Mailén killed Carlos Pedraza and confronts Clara, who is evasive. María Pedraza's body appears in the Saavedra house.
